Rin's Combat School - Daruk's Perfect Parry

Welcome to Rin’s Combat School, a series where we’ll be going over one technique at a time and showing its uses and combat. Daruk’s Perfect Parry uses Daruk’s Protection in a unique way, and has the same properties as if used normally but if done correctly does not use any resources and can be used infinitely this is activated by simply tapping ZL as fast as possible. If held for even a couple frames to long it’ll become a normal Daruk’s Protection and use up a resource this can only be mastered with lots of practice as this technique has a tighter window than even a regular parry and it’s difficult to use 100% of the time against enemy attacks. This can be used in a variety of ways including parrying enemy attacks, preventing fall damage, and bomb parrying.

For best effect I recommend use this as a bomb parry technique as it’s easier to control your own detonation timing rather than the enemy attack. And instead of a convoluted name such as “Daruk’s Perfect Bomb Parry” it can be named force push, as a reference I’m sure some people will get. If you’re feeling more advanced you can even detonate the bomb during the jump you summoned it in, to bomb parry much faster than a normal bomb parry.

The same technique as in my Lynel tricks video, this also has bomb parry edge stun capabilities, and can stun and interrupt certain enemy attacks. The most interesting is its ability to pierce through Ganon’s second phase armor and damage him. You can even send arrows during this technique to punch through his armor anytime without waiting for a flurry rush-able or parry-able attack. On top of performing a perfect parry each time this will unlock a unique physics bug one time after performing each parry. While there may be some all divine beast speedrunning uses for this, so far haven’t found much use except looking strange and awesome. If this technique is too difficult to pull off for some players I suggest using Daruk’s Protection normally by just hold ZL. Everything mentioned except for the physics bug which is not combat effective it’s still applicable but just only up to three uses so keep that in mind.
