A Faster 2-Look OLL Technique


Align:start hey guys I just want to share an idea I have about two local ello that I think is better than the regular system so basically for the regular system you do s XD f prime or F reverse sexy F prime so like if you get an L then you would do this and then if you get a line you would do this those are fast algorithms but the problem is like if you see if you see like the corner orientation here so it’s a tol o and then once you do the algorithm you get something completely different so you have to look again so the thing with my system is that you don’t have to look twice you can see where your edges are and then see the corner orientation and then you can do the whole thing in one look so this is the same corner of orientation so this tol pretty sure everybody using to look all all can recognize that but this one is the same thing just with the edges not oriented so what you can do is an algorithm that actually flips the edges but it keeps the corner arranged in the same so that you only have to look once it’s basically one look ll but you’re still using two algorithms so it’s not as fast as one logo ll but I think it’s faster than regular to look at all so the algorithms are our sexy move and prime reverse sexy move with a wide turn at the end and just the reverse of that so the reverse of that is sexy move with a wide turn in the beginning and then M down like that and then reverse sexy move so here’s how it can be applied if you have the L case then you would start with the wide one so it would be like this and you can see that the corner orientation is preserved so how you can do that a little bit faster is as soon as you get to o ll once you see this you also see your corner orientation that is going to be a T so then as soon as you do that you can go straight into your second part of o ll and let’s look at this one so here you see that this is going to be the bowtie case or it’s also called L so then you can do the algorithm that flips these two which is sexy move M Prime reverse sexy move and then it maintains the corner orientation so you can do that really fast like this [Applause] so that basically takes out the second look a recognition time of Olo slaughter size is one look o ll it’s still one look though is one look to algorithms thanks for watching
